Uses:

Biocide use (PT03 and PT04 Feed): Fungicidal, bactericidal and antiviral* treatment by diffusion of disinfectant into the air, in livestock and poultry farm buildings and silos.

 

Therapeutic uses:
• Incubators: Disinfection against Salmonella and Enterobacteriaceae. Prevention of aspergillosis.
• Industrial animal husbandry (pig farming, poultry farming): Disinfection against Salmonella and Enterobacteriaceae, Staphylococcus, Enterococcus, Listeria, Pseudomonas aeruginosa. Against mold fungi of the Aspergillus species.
• In silos: Prevention of the spread of mold and mycotoxins.

 

Indications:
Surface treatment by spreading a disinfectant into the air (smoke asphyxiation) daily or weekly at the end of production or during the absence of personnel.
Prophylactic use to maintain the microbiological balance in the working environment.
Therapeutic use to restore the microbiological balance of the industrial environment.

FUMAGRI® OPP releases a disinfectant component (OrthoPhenylPhenol) into the processing environment without the presence of the operator. This substance acts on vegetative bacteria, yeast and mold fungi.
*Proven efficacy against avian influenza virus (H9N2), Newcastle disease virus, Gamboro infectious bursal disease virus, classical swine fever virus and porcine reproductive and respiratory syndrome virus. The method is based on the principles of the French standard NF T 72 - 281 (Institute of Animal Medicine, College of Veterinary Medicine, Gyeongsang National University, Jinju, Republic of Korea. Director: Hu-Jang Lee, DVM, PhD).

Active substance: 2-phenylphenol (ISO);biphenyl-2-ol; 2-hydroxybiphenyl

 

European regulation:
FUMAGRI® OPP is a product intended for use as a biocide at the following rate - 160 mg of active substance per 1 m3.
Fungicidal effect (cattle housing/livestock machinery/equipment not classified as plant protection products under Regulation (EC) No 1107/2009/EEC).
MRL: Regulation (EC) No 396/2005 amended by Regulation (EC) No 304/2010 of 9 April 2010, which included phenyl-2-phenol (OrthoPhenylPhenol) in Annex II, effective from 1 January 2011.

 

Instructions for use:
• Turn off the gas supply. Switch off ventilation and photocell. Clean surfaces.
• As the product emits smoke, smoke detectors must be fitted during the application period.
• Ensure the protection of smoke-sensitive measuring and analytical equipment. Close all exits.
• Loosen the powder by swirling the container several times before use.
• Distribute the required number of containers according to the cubic capacity of the area to be treated.
• Place the container on the floor on a fireproof surface.
• Remove any flammable material at least 1.5 meters from the container.
• Remove the cap and light the wick with a lighter.
• Always start lighting the container that is furthest from the exit. Then work your way towards the exit and light the containers in that order.
• Leave the building after you are sure that the treatment process is running smoothly and close all exits.
• Place warning signs at all entrances to inform other people that the treatment process is in progress.
• The biocide begins to be effective after at least 4 hours / optimal effect is achieved after 15 hours.
• There must be a minimum of 24 hours between 2 consecutive treatments.
• Ventilate the room thoroughly for at least 1 hour after use (to be adjusted to each specific case).
• Remove product residues from floors and surfaces.
• The building may only be entered after the disinfection and ventilation process has been completed.
• The building may only be used after the product residues have been removed.

• In case of excessive use of the product, there is a risk of significant residues in the building.
• In rare cases - due to moisture or interaction with other chemicals - OPP may cause surfaces to turn yellow or pink, especially on polymeric materials.
• Use a suitable cleaning agent or contact the product supplier for information.

- Causes serious eye irritation Category Cat.2 H319.
- May cause respiratory irritation Category Cat. 3 H335.
- Toxic to aquatic organisms with long-term effects Category Cat.2 H411.
